Everyone is welcome to England Day!

England Day is for expats, New Yorkers and their friends, with an affinity and love for all things English.

We were Founded in 2016 by a group of English people who now call New York City home but wanted to celebrate their English heritage.

New York has a vibrancy and a ‘can do’ approach to life with a philanthropic heart & soul. It is a melting pot of cultures and ethnicity's that are patriotic about being American but also have a great deal of pride in their heritage. England Day NYC embraces these characteristics.

In a City used to celebrating cultures including St Patrick’s Day (Irish) and Tartan Week (Scottish), it’s now England’s turn.

This is a non-political celebration of our food, culture, sport and music, with something for everyone and all ages. It also celebrates diversity, inclusiveness and tolerance. There is no political agenda; we wave the flag as ordinary patriotic people.

We want to show our pride in a nation whose leaders, explorers, inventors, sports stars, entrepreneurs, musicians, artists and writers have helped shape the world.

From Churchill, Shakespeare, Sir Isaac Newton and Stephen Hawkins to Richard Branson, David Beckham, Keira Knightley and Benedict Cumberbatch, Idris Elba, Adele, Bowie and the Beatles, we have a lot to be proud about.

We chose the moniker, "England Day NYC" to avoid any confusion but it's very much a celebration of, St George's Day, England's National Day, on April 23rd and the free, family friendly, ‘Block Party’ will always fall on the closest Saturday.
